Charleston Jazz Announces New Executive Director

CHARLESTON, SC – Charleston Jazz is proud to announce Tatjana Beylotte as the new Executive Director. Tatjana Beylotte was hired in July 2018 as the Director of Development at Charleston Jazz. Ms. Beylotte has held a variety of leadership roles and has 19 years of experience in fundraising for arts organizations. Before coming to Charleston Jazz, she was the Deputy Director at the Halsey Institute of Contemporary Art at the College of Charleston. Prior to that role, Ms. Beylotte was Executive Director of 1708 Gallery, a non-profit space for contemporary art in Richmond, VA. She also worked as Arts Education Grants Coordinator for the Virginia Commission for the Arts, and Director of Development for International Arts and Artists in Washington, DC. Ms. Beylotte holds a Master’s degree in Museum Studies from George Washington University and a Bachelor’s degree in Arts Management from the College of Charleston.

CHARLESTON, SC November 7, 2017Charleston Jazz will host its 2nd Annual Jazz Day for Kids on November 15, 2017 at the Charleston Music Hall.  Over 800 elementary school children in grades K – 6th will experience a jazz immersion as they enjoy a full big band concert performed by the Charleston Jazz Orchestra (CJO). Charleston Jazz is also partnering with Streamable Learning to live stream the concert and a post-concert jazz lecture to Charleston areas schools.
