Charleston, SC  – Charleston Jazz is excited to announce the lineup for Local Band Day during the 2020 Charleston Jazz Festival, January 23-26, 2020. On January 23rd, the 6th Annual Charleston Jazz Festival will open with some of Charleston’s most exciting jazz groups – Offramp The Music of Pat Metheny, Cameron & the Saltwater Brass Shake Everything You Got! and Lee Barbour’s Polyverse Art of the Modern Organ Trio featuring Justin Stanton of Snarky Puppy. Performances will be at Forte Jazz Lounge, 475 King Street, Charleston, SC 29403.

Offramp The Music of Pat Metheny

Offramp kicks off Local Band Day at the 6th Annual Charleston Jazz Festival! They are an exciting new group that plays an eclectic assortment from guitar visionary Pat Metheny, but with their own flare. Selections from different eras and bands of Pat’s career will be explored with an emphasis on groove, melody, and interaction.

Offramp consists of four premier jazz artists from Charleston and Myrtle Beach.

Cameron & the Saltwater Brass Shake Everything You Got!

Cameron & the Saltwater Brass is a horn-heavy group that blends a helping of funk, a cup of jazz, and a dash of gospel. A Sousaphone lays down the bass lines and brings that unique ‘New Orleans’ sound to the party. Cameron and company are Charleston favorites and have been serving up their sounds in Charleston for more than 7 years. Come to Forte Jazz Lounge and ‘Shake Everything You Got’ with Cameron & The Saltwater Brass!

Lee Barbour’s Polyverse Art of the Modern Organ Trio featuring Justin Stanton of Snarky Puppy

The Lee Barbour Quartet will showcase their unique explorations and technical mastery to close out the Charleston Jazz Festival’s Local Band Day. Lee is a gifted guitarist and composer and has performed and recorded with several l international artists, including Jazz is Phish, guitar legend Joe Beck, Fred Wesley (James Brown), Earl Klugh, Elise Testone (American Idol) and Cary Ann Hearst (Shovels and Rope). Joining Lee on this incredible evening will be Jonathan Lovett, Ron Wiltrout, and special guest Justin Stanton from jazz supergroup Snarky Puppy!
