Charleston Jazz
Charleston Jazz is a nonprofit organization dedicated to building a local and global community for jazz through performance, education, and outreach while celebrating and preserving Charleston’s rich history in jazz. We achieve this goal by offering a wide range of educational programs and outreach activities that are designed to engage and inspire people of all ages and backgrounds. Thousands of patrons enjoy our season of world-class performances throughout the year, featuring local and international artists. Thanks our dedicated supporters, Charleston Jazz has become an integral part of the city’s cultural landscape, and continues to play a vital role in preserving and promoting the unique jazz traditions of Charleston.
When they study our civilization two thousand years from now, there will only be three things that Americans will be known for: the Constitution, baseball and jazz music. They’re the three most beautiful things Americans have ever created.”
