Join us at the Avery Research Center for lunch with members of the Charleston Jazz Orchestra (CJO). Learn about the Avery Research Center’s role in the history of jazz in Charleston and about upcoming CJO performances, including a sneak peek of our 2024 season! CJO Musical Director and College of Charleston Director of Jazz Studies, Robert Lewis, will give you the highlights and insight on song selections that will be performed in the highly anticipated Queens of Jazz concert. You will have the chance to meet the guest star, 2X GRAMMY Award-winner Quiana Parler (of Ranky Tanky), fresh off of her European tour. Robert Lewis and members of the CJO will be there to answer questions.

Doors open at 11:30AM.
