LIVE AT FIREFLY: Symphonic Swing Jazz Meets the Classics

Although Jazz and Classical music are different in many ways, the border between the two genres is a fluid one. As America’s “Classical” music, Jazz combines spontaneity with the technical mastery of a composition. With LIVE AT FIREFLY: Symphonic Swing – Jazz Meets the Classics, your Charleston Jazz Orchestra will bring the world of improvisation and swing to notable Classical compositions, bridging the gap, bending the genres, and introducing the styles of Miles Davis, Thelonious Monk and Billie Holiday to Mozart, Tchaikovsky and Beethoven to name a few.

This is an outdoor event and guests are required to bring their own chairs. Seating will be spaced out between guests.  Drinks and food will be available for purchase. No outside food or drink permitted. Free parking available on site.

Masks are only required when indoors. Charleston Jazz will continue to flow the mask requirements of the performance venue. Thank you for your continued patience.
