CHARLESTON, SC – Charleston Jazz is proud to announce Tatjana Beylotte as the new Executive Director. Tatjana Beylotte was hired in July 2018 as the Director of Development at Charleston Jazz. Ms. Beylotte has held a variety of leadership roles and has 19 years of experience in fundraising for arts organizations. Before coming to Charleston Jazz, she was the Deputy Director at the Halsey Institute of Contemporary Art at the College of Charleston. Prior to that role, Ms. Beylotte was Executive Director of 1708 Gallery, a non-profit space for contemporary art in Richmond, VA. She also worked as Arts Education Grants Coordinator for the Virginia Commission for the Arts, and Director of Development for International Arts and Artists in Washington, DC. Ms. Beylotte holds a Master’s degree in Museum Studies from George Washington University and a Bachelor’s degree in Arts Management from the College of Charleston.

Charleston Jazz is a non-profit organization whose mission is to cultivate and grow a local and global community for jazz through performance, education and outreach while celebrating and preserving Charleston’s rich history of jazz. Established in 2008 as Jazz Artists of Charleston, the organization has earned a reputation for presenting, producing, and advocating for all things jazz and the artists who bring this music to life in dynamic ways. The organization manages the Charleston Jazz Orchestra, the Charleston Jazz Festival, and the Charleston Jazz Academy.
