Kevin Patton is a composer, saxophonist, and entrepreneur from Charleston, South Carolina. Over the past two decades, he has performed in various concert halls, stadiums, and churches across the country. He graduated from College of Charleston in 2014 with a degree in Music Performance. Kevin studied with Robert Lewis, Quentin Baxter and many other great professors who helped shape him into an in demand composer and saxophonist. He now serves on The College of Charleston School of the Arts Advisory Council.

Over the years, Kevin has performed in a myriad of festivals such as Piccolo Spoleto, Savannah Black Heritage Festival, The Atlanta Heritage Music Festival (where he received the Maestro Award), and The Colour of Music Festival. He has performed with The Charleston Jazz Orchestra since 2016. In collaboration with the orchestra, Kevin has shared the stage with countless jazz greats such as Melissa Aldana, Delfeayo Marsalis, Ernie Watts, Stefon Harris, and many more. He also has a TV credit for the Netflix show, Outer Banks. He played the saxophone on an episode in season 5. Currently he performs for World Overcomers Ministries, composes film scores, and teaches at Allegro Charter School of Music. He was chosen to be Allegro’s Class of 2025 Commencement Speaker. As an arts educator and ambassador, Kevin also serves on The Charleston Jazz Board of Directors.

Additionally as a composer, Kevin released an album titled “Full Authority” in 2015. He also released a single titled “It All Works Out” in 2023. Both of these recordings dive into his two main musical influences: Gospel and Jazz. Kevin’s passion is to create music through original compositions. His composition for orchestra titled “Reflections” was debuted in March 2025 by The North Charleston POPS Orchestra.
