Cheryl Love

Cheryl brings decades of leadership experience in human resources, nonprofit governance, media, and community engagement to Charleston Jazz. She holds an MBA in Human Resources from Xavier University (cum laude) and a Bachelor of Science in Business Education from the University of Cincinnati (magna cum laude). Her professional career spans nearly four decades, including leadership roles at Procter & Gamble and Blue Chip Broadcasting, where she served as Vice President of Human Resources and Administration.

A deeply committed community leader, she has served in numerous civic and nonprofit roles across Cincinnati and Charleston. Her service includes a gubernatorial appointment to the Ohio Real Estate Appraisal Board, Trustee roles with organizations such as the Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park and the Free Store Food Bank, and ongoing involvement with Trident United Way. In Charleston, she has volunteered as a Crisis Counselor for the 211 Hotline, a mentor at St. John’s High School, and a Poll Manager for the Charleston County Board of Elections.

She is an active member of The Links, Incorporated and currently volunteers with the International African American Museum, where she was named Volunteer of the Year in 2024.

Her lifelong commitment to education, the arts, and community service reflects a deep passion for creating opportunities and strengthening communities.
