She has displayed leadership and influence in the public, private, and non-profit sectors, holding key roles in numerous organizations. Susan has shaped brand positioning, go-to-market strategies, and creative initiatives to drive revenue and lead organizations through periods of transformation.
An accomplished marketing and communications leader, Susan is the Chief Marketing Strategist of Vintage Marketing, a strategic marketing firm she established in 1993. With offices in both Carolinas, Vintage Marketing has been featured in Inc. Magazine and multiple business publications for its commitment to excellence in marketing and success with client relationships. The firm’s client portfolio has included healthcare organizations, financial institutions, manufacturers, professional service firms, and retail businesses.
Susan has been a featured speaker for national and regional business organizations. Over the past 25 years, she has also served in elected, appointed, and volunteer leadership capacities throughout the Carolinas, with responsibility for financial management, fundraising, audience development, community engagement, and strategic planning. Susan was twice elected as the Mayor Pro Tem and Commissioner for the Town of Cornelius. She has embraced community and nonprofit service through board positions and volunteer capacities for numerous arts, theatre, historical preservation, animal rescue, and veteran advocacy organizations. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing and Communications Media from Appalachian State University, where she graduated with honors after earning a full academic scholarship.
