The only prerequisites are middle and high school students who identify as female. Accompanying adults are welcome as well! \nThis program is free-of-charge\, however\, we do ask that you register at the link above.[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_gmaps link=”#E-8_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”][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_column_text css=”.vc_custom_1675205216057{margin-bottom: 0px !important;}”]\nCharleston Jazz Academy\n\n3005 W Montague Ave\nSuite 200\nNorth Charleston\, SC 29418\n[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]

America’s greatest art form may have been born in New Orleans\, but the Lowcountry was quite arguably one of the early incubators of jazz. One of the greatest influences on jazz history in the Holy City was the Jenkins Orphanage Band\, producing jazz greats such as William “Cat” Anderson\, Jabbo Smith and Freddie Green. Based on the rhythms of the Gullah/Geechee Culture\, that Lowcountry Swing can be found in some of our favorite tunes – Until I Met You\, Tuxedo Junction\, and Porgy & Bess. The Charleston Jazz Express is presented by Charleston Jazz\, a non-profit organization dedicated to presenting jazz performance and education in Charleston. \nReserve your tickets: https://www.charlestonparksconservancy.org/event/brunch-in-the-park
