Louis’ soaring trumpet and gravelly voice were made world famous with such favorites as Hello Dolly\, Mack the Knife\, Cheek to Cheek\, and What a Wonderful World.  \nTrumpet phenom Bruce Harris is an internationally renowned musician and educator and is Artistic Director of Programs at the Louis Armstrong House Museum in New York City. Throughout his career\, Bruce has collaborated with many artists\, to include Wynton Marsalis\, Tony Bennett\, Dave Brubeck and Samara Joy. Influenced by the sounds of both Hip-hop and Be-bop\, he began playing trumpet at age 12\, drawing inspiration from legends like Miles Davis\, Dizzy Gillespie\, and Prince. His early talent led him to perform with Wynton Marsalis through the “Essentially Ellington” competition\, later studying under Jon Faddis at SUNY Purchase\, where he earned both a Bachelor’s and Master’s in Jazz Performance. Harris has since built a celebrated career performing at iconic venues such as Smalls\, Smoke Jazz Club\, and Dizzy’s Club\, as well as appearing on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert and The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon. He has shared the stage with world-renowned artists\, including Tony Bennett\, Lady Gaga\, Rihanna\, and the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra.
