Big Bands then ushered in the swing era in the early 1930s with Duke Ellington and continued its legacy with Count Basie\, Mary Lou Williams\, Stan Kenton\, Buddy Rich\, Maria Schneider\, Gordon Goodwin\, and more\, each playing a significant role in the development\, innovation and popularization of orchestral jazz. While being surrounded by music at an early age\, he fell in love with learning\, performing and creatively expressing himself through music. He studied jazz and classical voice and trumpet at the Charleston School of the Arts. Over the years he has spent time as a featured performer in Argentina\, Dominican Republic and other South American countries. His roots in gospel\, jazz\, and classical styles merge together bringing his audiences to a peaceful and reflective place. \n \n \nThis performance has been made possible in part by REV Federal Credit Union. \n \n[vc_empty_space][vc_separator][vc_empty_space]\nThe Charleston Music Hall is at reduced capacity of 250 with socially distanced seating.
