For over 10 years, THE MARK STERBANK GROUP’s annual presentation of “Hymns & Spirituals” has allowed these amazing musicians an opportunity to “express themselves in a jazzy way as they explore American sacred music for all its depth, beauty and soul.” In each performance, the GROUP offers several new arrangements and revisits a few inspirational favorites that allows for everyone in attendance to experience a unique exhilaration in the combination of rhythmic drive, creativity of jazz, and the familiarity and meaning of the old church songs.
