Perfect for a Monday night by the beach. Think of it as your alternative music to reggae and experience the sweet, salty air; crisp, cold beers; caipirinhas and margaritas; and sway to South American grooves.
Born March 29, 1940, Astrud Gilberto was a Brazilian samba and bossa nova singer. She became well known in the 1960s for her performance of the song “The Girl from Ipanema”. She had a long time personal and musical relationship with the famous American saxophonist Stan Getz.
The incomparable vocalist Catherine Galan is a phenomenal talent you don’t want to miss! She and the young lion saxophonist Jack Johnson will play the roles of Astrud Gilberto and Stan Getz.
