Kevin Patton – Forte Jazz Lounge

Forte Jazz Lounge is Charleston’s only strictly jazz venue. Jazz is always on-tap with the best musicians performing every week.

Kevin Patton is a composer, instructor, and saxophonist from Charleston, South Carolina. Over the past decade, he has performed in various venues such as churches, concert halls, and restaurants. He graduated from College of Charleston in 2014 with a degree in Music Performance. Kevin currently teaches music, including saxophone lessons, at Allegro Charter School of Music. He teaches private lessons at Charleston Jazz Academy as well.

In addition to performing and teaching, Kevin also released an album in the fall of 2015. This album, entitled “Full Authority”, dives into his two main musical influences: Gospel and Jazz. He likes to merge the two genres into a melting pot of new sounds that the world has never heard before. His goal for the future is to continue to improve, while following the plan that God has for his life.

The first show of the night begins at 7 p.m. with doors opening at 6:00 p.m. and the second starts at 9:30 p.m. with doors opening at 9:00 p.m. Our guests are welcome to come early. Beer, wine and non-alcoholic drinks will be available for purchase at the bar.

Shows are at 7pm and 9:30pm

The lounge offers three sections of seating:

• VIP —— couch style seating $27

• Premium –table seating $22

• General —high table and bar seating $17
