10/3: Keepin’ Jazz Alive – A Benefit for Charleston Jazz featuring The Charlton Singleton Project
October 3, 2019 @ 5:30 PM - 9:30 PM EDT
Join us to celebrate and support Charleston Jazz at our annual Keepin’ Jazz Alive benefit.
Now in its 11thyear of cultivating and growing a local and global community for jazz through performance and education, Charleston Jazz is essential to the vibrant cultural life in Charleston. Our programs cultivate jazz artists and audiences through performing and educational opportunities including our Charleston Jazz Orchestra, Charleston Jazz Festival, and the Charleston Jazz Academy, the only place in Charleston focused on jazz education. Proceeds from the evening directly support these programs including scholarships for students studying at our Charleston Jazz Academy.
Keepin’ Jazz Alive includes a special evening of music arranged by Charlton Singleton featuring some of Charleston’s most accomplished artists. Expect a unique performance including newly written music and arrangements of well-known songs.
Dear Charleston Jazz Family!

For this fundraiser, I will be pulling from my FULL bag of tricks. I will be playing some solo piano, singing and playing from the piano, performing with my quintet, and the newly formed Charlton Singleton Project.
Please purchase your tickets now and support this important institution including the newly established Charleston Jazz Academy, which is nurturing the next generation of jazz artists and is so wonderfully run by my good friend (little brother) David Carter! I hope that you will be there!
