JAZZ VESPERS: Featuring the Lovett/Belanger/Ray Trio

A Jazz Vespers at Circular Congregational Church is held each November in honor of Jack McCray, founder of Charleston Jazz. This year on November 12th at 6pm, the Lovett/Belanger/Ray trio will perform for the evening service.
Lovett/Belanger/Ray is a jazz trio comprised of three up-and-coming young musicians from South Carolina. Each in demand as individual musicians, their ambition and passion translates to the music they make as a trio. Deeply influenced by the piano trios of Oscar Peterson, Bill Evans and Robert Glasper, they each bring their own character to create music that is nuanced and sensitive, or aggressive and fiery, but always brimming with a sense of playfulness.
