Charlton Singleton – Gaillard Center Lecture Series

On Monday, March 26 from 6:30pm – 8pm, Charlton Singleton (Artist in Residence) will be giving a presentation at the Gaillard Center, Salon One.
This will be the fourth in the ESSENTIAL LISTENING TO THE JAZZ NEWCOMER Series.
In this session Charlton will discuss the Jazz Big Band. Big Bands and Orchestras were the ensemble of choice starting back in the 1930s and have continued through the present (YES!) He will be talking about some of the most famous and influential jazz big bands of the past and present.
