Crooners & Currents was a truly special performance as Robbie Madison and Kanika Moore celebrated the singers of yesteryear and today! Classics by Al Jarreau, Ella Fitzgerald, and Frank Sinatra intertwined with music by Esperanza Spaulding, Cecile McLorin Salvant, and Michael Bublé.
Charleston natives Robbie Madison and Kanika Moore have entertained audiences throughout the Lowcountry and around the world. Robbie was welcomed into a family of artists and studied jazz voice and trumpet at the Charleston School of the Arts. He has been a featured performer in Argentina, the Dominican Republic and other South American countries. Kanika has toured throughout Italy and Spain mixing her blend of swing with a dash of sultry. With her powerful voice she knows how to bring the swing, blues and jazz to your soul! Joining Robbie and Kanika are three of Charleston’s favorite musicians: Jonathan Lovett on keyboards, Alex Kellner on bass, and Ron Wiltrout on drums.
